If people would just listen to what isn't said, well, they'd understand more.
But, people do not know how to do that. They spend way to much time reading into what is openly said than to take the time to figure out what isn't.
As a grieving parent, there are so many things that I do not say but yet, no one will ever know what they are because they just can't read what I don't say.
It is not that hard to do.
Instead of doing surgery on what someone speaks, try and do the same to what they don't. Especially if you claim to know and care for them. I promise is isn't that hard to do.
You can learn so much by reading someone. Look at their body language, do they cross their chests a lot, do they turn the back, hang their heads, stare into space. Pay attention.
Do not lose you friend because of something so simple. Do not lose your family member.
Be respectful but, PAY ATTENTION!
That goes for teenagers, 4 year olds (well they tend to tell everything), etc.
Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight."
