Broken heart....

Updated: Jun 21, 2019

A broken heart is a serious deal. It can cause major problems with your health.

It is a serious deal. You know when you lose your child, you feel emptiness. I mean you literally feel sick, sick like you are going to die.

Your chest is heavy. You can't breathe and, it can happen at anytime. While you are driving, bathing, walking, it doesn't matter. The feeling hits you and you literally feel like you are going to die.

I cannot say it will go away. I cannot say time heals because at times, it hits me all over again and I feel like death. Literally.

I cannot tell you how to fix it. I cannot tell you how to deal with it. I can just tell you it happens. It hurts, not just physically but mentally, emotionally. You feel awful.

A broken heart doesn't have to be just related to child loss but, in this instance it is. It lasts a lifetime.

It is suffering. Imagine living the rest of your life without one of your children. It is awful.

I have come to the conclusion the best thing for us is unconditional love and support and just being there. It doesn't go away but, it can be more bearable.

The research done shows it is a real thing, Broken Heart Syndrome, I have talked about it before but for some reason needed to again. It can be treatable but, not always. Do your research on it and ask for help if you think you are experiencing any of this.

I was fortunate to have the support I needed, I feel the physical symptoms and they are awful but, I can recover.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
